P2P Italy Art Trip 2023

 The eternal city has filled us with joy! The past few days have been a whirlwind of art, history, culture and walking tours. We have climbed the Spanish Steps, marveled at the Pantheon’s oculus, investigated the Borghese Galleria, Coliseum, and threw coins in the Trevi Fountain. We’re staying in a beautiful and centrally located hotel, allowing for easy access to Rome. One more day to explore the ancient ruins and see the Sistine Chapel awaits us! Also, many now agree that BERNINI was truly a master sculpture and his works left us speechless… 

 Whew- the past few days have been a whirlwind of adventures in Tuscany. We traveled by bus from Florence to Lucca on a day trip and then the next day we left Florence and made our way to Fattoria Lisheto— an incredible working farm. We just finished a cheese tour and amazing 6 course farm to table dinner that many felt “changed them forever.” We feel so fortunate to be here together!  Pictures above were captured by Ms. Bertarelli and Zoe T (top two golden hour captures)

 Buonasera!  We’ve had another epic day- it started with climbing up 454 steps to the top of Il Duomo to take in magnificent views of Firenze. Then most of us also climbed the Bell Tower. At 10 am we departed to do a self guided tour of the Iffizi Galleria- the “Birth of Venus” and “Medusa” and many more masterpieces pulled on our heartstrings! After the Uffizi we went back to the central market and delightfully devoured homemade pastas, fresh fruits and juices. Before heading back to the hotel we met Roberto at his families leather shop!
